MAKEUP HACKS For the Fit Chick
For the Fit Chick
If you’re like me, there are days when the last thing I have time for is spending hours in front of the mirror. But we all want to look good, don’t we? You spent all that time working your butt off in the gym, so you definitely deserve some daily glam!
That being said, check out these brilliant makeup hacks that will get even the most hardcore fit chick ready in no-time:
- Dry Shampoo – This one earned a No. 1 spot on the list, since it’s an absolute lifesaver for any fit girl! Instead of spending a bunch of time washing, drying, and styling your hair after the gym, simply spray on some dry shampoo to freshen up your mane and remove sweat or greasiness! Depending on your hair type, dry shampoo it often makes it easier to style… so win-win!
- Blow Dry Your Face – Yes, yes… this sounds completely bizarre, but it’s also pretty simple and downright genius! Immediately after a shower, especially if you’re straight out of the gym, it tends to take some time (around 20 min.) for your moisturizer to be absorbed and the skin to dry up enough for foundation or powder to set properly. To remedy this dilemma, simply take a blow drier, adjust it to the cool setting, and hold it toward your face for a few seconds. Voila, your moisturizer is set and you’re good to go!
- Go for the Soft Look – When you’re in a rush and feeling stressed, attempting to blend a perfect smoky eye is just not a great idea.
Instead, try a naturally fabulous look with the following items, which will take nor time or a steady hand to apply:
- Champagne Eyeshadow
Champagne is the sort of color that suits nearly every skin tone, and with a bit of shimmer it will give your eyes a discrete touch of glam. Plus, you don’t really need any blending or precision skills to apply it due to the neutral shade – just work in a few strokes on your eyelid (this is the sort of shade you can place all over) to look just the right amount of classy and fresh!
- Shadow Liner
We’ve all experienced that dreaded moment when the liquid eyeliner messes up a perfect makeup application, and that’s the last thing you need when you’re short on time! Instead, take an angled eyebrow brush and dip it in a bit of dark brown or black eye/brow shadow; then gently follow the edge of your eyelashes to achieve a smooth and soft line. It will look far more natural than a liquid or gel liner, and if your post-workout hands are a bit shaky, you can simply blend the shadow a bit to correct any errors – this sort of eyeliner doesn’t need to be sharp!
- Color Your Lips
If you don’t like dark lips, simply put on a little nude lip gloss, some blush on your cheeks, and be on your way. But if you DO like a bit of color, this is the perfect time to splurge on that gorgeous redness to emphasize your pout! Red lips often feel over the top when combined with too much eye makeup, but when the rest of the face is decorated sparingly, it can give your whole look the extra “pop” that makes you look and feel ready to rock!
And if you like bold but hate red, you can basically go with any strong, bright color to achieve the same effect!
