I have been involved in sports and fitness my whole life, but after struggling with an eating disorder and then gaining around 50 lbs in my mid twenties due to undiagnosed thyroid disease, I really started to take my diet and training to the next level. When I was finally diagnosed and properly treated for my thyroid condition, I was able to get control over my body, and the changes really started to come.
My Fitness Journey
At 32 I had my daughter and decided I needed a bigger goal and something I could do for myself. I started competing in bodybuilding competitions over 2 1/2 years ago, and am now 5x's Nationally Qualified, as well as Overall champ in the Maters division.
I eat, sleep, and breathe fitness. This is a lifestyle I have chosen, and a commitment I have made to myself, to be a good role model for my daughter, keep myself looking good for my husband, and live a long, healthy, and happy life.
