My name is Ingrid Ferris and I am a fitness Competitor, culinary & pastry chef, and martial arts athlete. I grew up in Frazier Park, California; thus I was always outdoors running around, hiking, riding horses, bikes, etc. My family was big on eating healthy and natural and staying active.
My fitness journey started with traditional dance and martial arts. I trained in dance studios my early years and did not have a gym membership till I was 20!
One of my biggest passions is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I am a Gracie Barra blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Martial arts gave me a confidence and self worth that I never had; it is what truly started my athletic journey in fitness.
I have always been a very thin, but wanted to be strong and fit with muscle. I was very clueless about bodybuilding and lifting, hence I struggled with it in the beginning.
It wasn’t until joining Team Edge that I really saw changes in my physique and I fell in love with lifting and competing.
I have competed twice and won 1st place and Novice Overall. I now plan to compete more frequently.
My goals are to become an IFBB Pro while motivating and inspiring others to never give up on their dreams.
Fitness is not just a passion but truly part of my everyday life.
